Happy Anniversary: Nicole and Ronnie

This past Sunday was my sister Nicole’s wedding anniversary. I just wanted to take the time to say Happy 14th Anniversary. Next year we will have to celebrate big for your 15th anniversary.  Nicole I love you with all my heart. I am so proud of you. You are a wonderful mother, wife, sister daughter and friend. To the best brother in law anyone could ask for…thank you, thank you, thank you for being a wonderful husband, friend, father and provider to my sister. You are amazing!

Oh yeah by the way…it’s time for another session you two!

THIS TIME I AM GETTING IT RIGHT

All of 2010 I kept saying I was going to rebrand…well…I am glad I did not. I was not ready to take on this big task. Identity is important…very important! Trust me when I say I am not taking the task lightly. First, I will have to say; very soon, you will see the name Classic Photos by Toya replaced by Latoya Roberson Photography. Why? It just does not fit me anymore. I am molding a business that is DEDICATED to doing everything in my will power to provide you with the best wedding photography and service…a business that you can PERSONALLY connect with as well. I want my clients to really know who I am when I am not behind my camera. I tried the “being all about business” attitude and it just does not work for me.  So stand by me while I go through this process. You will not be disappointed. I cannot say how long it will take for the complete transformation but I am hoping to have everything completed within a couple of months. I am excited and you should be too!

I AM DEDICATED

Rolling eyes and FINALLY….a deep sigh! I tell myself…I can’t do this…maybe this just isn’t my thing. I can’t even keep my focus. I stepped away for days. While I was away, I changed gears and started thinking about want I really wanted.

I made a list of photographers who inspired me to pick up a camera. I stalked their websites for days. I realize what made me fall in love with them and their work…after hours of reading their blogs and viewing their pictures…I remember how much I loved being a bride…I got a glimpse of their personal lives…I felt connected and I have never met any of these photographers before. So I stocked my blog for days…reread posts and pictures…I said to myself…WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE CONNECTION? DO MY BRIDES AND BLOG READERS FEEL A CONNECTION? How could they Toya…. you don’t even see it. I decided it was time for a change.

In order to make this change I needed to reflect on who Toya was and the type of person Toya wanted to be. I decided major changes needed to be made SPIRITUALLY, personally, and professionally.

It’s 2011: TOYA’S YEAR OF CHANGE….Are you ready? I AM!!! So let’s begin…

Spiritually…

I am DEDICATED to reading my bible daily.

I am DEDICATED to personal study.

I am DEDICATED to attending and preparing for my meetings.

I am DEDICATED to the ministry.

Personally…

I am DEDICATED to spending time with my husband.

I am DEDICATED to not being a work-alcoholic.

I am DEDICATED to getting proper rest.

Professionally…

I am DEDICATED to connect with you.

I am DEDICATED to continuously educate myself.

I am DEDICATED to capturing the joy, the tears, and the laughs. DEDICATED to capturing the moment.

I am DEDICATED to provide you with a brand that is dedicated to YOU…Yes to YOU.

I want each and every one of my supporters to know that I appreciate you…I am thankful for you all. Without you guys my business would not be what it is today. Because of your continuous support, I am motivated and determined to be a better and stronger individual and photographer!
